Questions for Doc

  1. I once took a gobbler picking pebbles with 12 girl friends out in front of my tent in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The hard part was getting the tent’s zipper open without alarming the turkeys. The is the entire extent of my turkey hunting. Though my wife, Jene, and I spent 17 years studying habits and behavior of wild turkeys and photographing them in the Panhandle of Texas during spring breeding seasons, which was fascinating, I never felt qualified to actually write a book about hunting them, and now being 80, it’s unlikely I ever will. Thank you for tweeting me. Now quit eating ham and get some turkey. Good luck!
